Guido Bierther: “Innovative spa treatment can counteract the effects of air pollution”.
Air pollution is a serious and global problem. We all know the effects: Damage to plants and crops, people and animals, forests, water, the ozone layer… and even climate change. Human activities are identified as the main cause of air pollution and it is omnipresent: in big cities and in the countryside, outdoors and inside buildings.
Effects of air pollution on our health
Poor air quality can have short and long-term effects on our health. This is especially true for children and the elderly. I myself recently suffered from a persistent laryngitis for weeks, and for almost 10 days I was unable to speak at all. Very painful and not funny. I was previously exposed to bad air for hours on a long distance flight due to air conditioning. Why is this ‘treated’ air always horrible and not enriched with beneficial ingredients? In this context, I also wonder how many spas without fresh air supply guests are exposed to such air during their stay?
Other general effects of poor air quality can include: inflammation of the eyes and nose, headaches, allergic reactions or respiratory tract infections. Long-term effects even include lung cancer, brain damage, heart problems, etc.
Forest air energy in spas?
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a therapy that could counteract the effects of air pollution in spas? A spa treatment to combat air pollution? Something like a Forest Air Energy Breathing Station?
